What's Your Vice?

What do you find comfort in that takes you away from facing the reality of life?whats your vice
Eating? Going out every night? Shopping? Watching too much TV?
Or worse?  Drugs and alcohol?

After a past boyfriend died, I loved to sleep.
It was my way of checking out and not dealing with the emotions that went with it.

Anything you do to escape reality is something that can be healed.

Remember this is your reality and you are creating it.  You can consciously create a much better reality once you choose to. 

If you don't like the way things are going, you can consciously create a better experience.  However, you can't be conscious if you're buzzed or over-eating or partying.  Some of you may believe your addiction is healthy.   But, spending 2 hours a day in the gym, especially if you’re over inflated on any kind of enhancement drug, might not be a good thing either. 

To know for sure if your vice is a good thing or not, ask yourself:

  • Am I doing this to escape thoughts or feelings?
  • Am I doing it to impress or punish others?
  • Do I do it because I'd fail at something else?

If you answer to any of these questions is yes, it might be time for a change.

If you're looking to external things to make you happy, realize HAPPINESS IS WITHIN YOU. 

The true you... the spirit within that physical body... has nothing to worry about, nothing to fear and has everything to be fully conscious for!

Doing the 6 steps of The Secret Formula, which is taught in my Consciousness 101 Program could be a good vice!  Instead of escaping, you will learn to heal and transform your mind, body and life.  I have a program for those who can take the initiative to do the work on their own and a program which includes coaching for those who need help.

Although I realized I was escaping life by sleeping, I still chose not to seek help since I am a life coach, and yet it took almost a year to even get to the point of being able to help myself. 

Sometimes we need help and that’s okay! 

Here’s something one client has to say about a nail biting habit that cleared up naturally while going through the program:
“One of the manifestations that I have achieved through this time with Sundi was, I haven't bitten my fingernails. Not at all. I have been a finger nail biter ever since I was young. I could manage from time to time to leave my nails alone only if I was in a regime of going and getting a manicure. There was a switch that flipped from "biting" to “non-biting" and I haven't gone anywhere to have my nails done.  The look of my fingernails all grown out are such a visual testament to me that I just am to make a decision praise my decision, celebrate my decision and now I get to watch how my decision grows easily and quickly.”

Realize that she did not have intent to stop biting her nails, but as she went through the program, the bad habit naturally fell away.  Not only that, but she has received comments about how much younger she looks! 

These are side-benefits of becoming more conscious.
